Supply Chain Specialist manages the network of suppliers, service providers, contractors, distributors, and customer service required by a company to run its daily operations. Identifies cost savings opportunities throughout the network. Completes purchasing by developing relationships and coordinating with field management and vendors. Provides information regarding pricing, specifications, suppliers, and order status.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the shipping of freight by contacting appropriate freight carriers.
- Pricing shipments to ensure the best freight rates.
- Maintaining shipping records, including providing shipping information to customers
- Coordinate Returned Material Authorizations (RMA's)
- Review and audit freight bills for billing accuracy.
- We are investigating and filing freight claims.
- May handle Outbound Domestic and International shipping, including preparing international customs documents.
- May handle Inbound Domestic and International shipping, including working with customs brokers to clear products for final delivery.
- Handles freight contract data management
- Reviews morning reports from carriers and takes appropriate action to resolve discrepancies, manage diversions and consignments, monitor tracking websites, and inform management as necessary.
- Requires exceptional strategic thinking, change initiation, and long-term corporate perspective.
- Builds strong working relationships with internal and external customers
Qualifications:
- Sophisticated with office software and computer operating;
- Interested in and familiar with Consumer Electronics (game consoles, smart devices, computers, and network IT products) would be a plus;
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Supply Chain;
- Great teamwork altitude; Can do attitude;
- Familiar with task and project management skills;
- Be able to travel if it is needed;
- Strong problem-solving skills ;
- Formal business writing ;
- Excellent communication skills; fluent in a secondary language is a big plus;
- Be able to learn and adapt new skills ;
- Being able to adapt to changing environments and work processes ;
- Be able to work independently with minimum supervision
